The Icon Domain is a full-face motorcycle helmet by Icon with a neo-retro twist. This cafe/retro helmet combines unique and unconventional design elements that give the helmet a modern and edgy look while still including classic and retro features. The helmet is DOT FMVSS 218(US), ECE 22.06 certified and PSC certified.

Shell

The Icon Domain helmet contains a handcrafted FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) shell, which is basically a fiberglass shell. The handcrafted composite shell makes it very lightweight without reducing its strength. The helmet has an intermediate oval head shape, slightly shorter front-to-back, and slightly wider side-to-side. It comes in 7 sizes (including 3XL).

Comfort

The inner liner of this motorcycle helmet includes a removable moisture-wicking Hydradry comfort liner, providing riders with the best possible comfortable fit for riders. This liner comes in different colors depending on the model you select. This helps keep riders cool, dry, and sweat-free on their trips. This liner’s removable feature helps keep the helmet’s interior fresh and clean. The helmet contains a sculpted neck roll, which provides additional comfort and support to the rider’s neck. It also includes a removable molded breath deflector and chin curtain as well.

The helmet is compatible with Icon’s HelmLink Bluetooth communication system developed with Sena Communications, which keeps riders connected on the road, whether picking up a call or simply using GPS navigation. The spoiler comes in various colors, called Domain OTT spoilers, that riders can choose from for this helmet.

Ventilation & Aerodynamics

The helmet has one of the best ventilation for Icon helmets, as it contains 4 intake vents, which allow a good amount of cooling, while the dorsal exhaust port removes the hot air from within the helmet. The Icon Domain also contains a prominent dorsal ridge, a raised strip running along the centre of the helmet’s back. This improves the helmet’s aerodynamics by lowering wind resistance and reducing buffeting at high speeds. It can also help stabilise the helmet of the rider’s head and provide additional impact protection at the back of the rider’s head.

Visor

The helmet comes with a clear, fog-free Domain visor. This oversized fog-resistant visor gives you great peripheral vision and a clear line of sight without any visual distortions. This Domain shield goes through a 3D molding process for great clarity and a fog-free coating. There is also an option of the Domain MotoShield visor, which comes with a peak for riders who prefer to have one on their Domain helmet. It comes with a rapid-release visor mechanism, making it easy for a rider to replace it without requiring tools.
