SIDI Rex Boots Product Description

The SIDI Rex Motorcycle Boots are designed to deliver on one of the most difficult aspects of motorcycle boots: making them as safe as possible without losing out on comfort. In the racing segment, only a few boots, like the Dainese Axial D1 and the Dainese Torque 3, are able to do this, but SIDI have still managed.

The SIDI Rex Sport Boots are a full-length boot with a full technomicro fiber outer shell, just like the SIDI Adventure 2 Gore-Tex (SIDI’s incredibly tough adventure boot). However, the boots do come at a recommended retail price of about 410 Euros, or 450 USD.

So, the SIDI Rex Boots will be competing with the Alpinestars SMX 6 V2, TCX RT-Race, Dainese Torque 3, and the Dainese Axial D1.

Material

The SIDI Rex Racing Boots are made of technomicro fiber, which is a tough synthetic leather used in premium motorcycle footwear. This means that the boots will have an incredible level of abrasion resistance and tear resistance while also being easy to clean and durable. There is also an additional gear shifter guard in the toe to prevent the boots from wearing out.

Safety

For protection, the boots will come with all the race-ready protection you need and more. All the major protectors in the boot have also been designed to be replaceable so you can tear it up on the track and not have to worry about having to purchase a completely new pair of boots further down the line. The shin features a large TPU shin protector at the top of the boot, and it is replaceable.

The entire back of the boot is also covered in TPU inserts with another large, replaceable protector in the back of the heel. This heel cup has been designed to be asymmetrical to also improve the boot’s comfort on the bike. For steep turns on the track, the Rex boots include SIDI’s replaceable Vortice slider, which is made of nylon reinforced with fiberglass and an innovative alloy to keep your toes safe.

Lastly, to keep your whole leg and ankle properly protected, the boots come with an ankle support brace to join the upper and lower parts of the boot. The brace prevents your ankle from twisting without causing any discomfort while walking. The brace is made of nylon and has been reinforced with fiberglass. It is replaceable, and even comes with adjustable ventilation thanks to an aerodynamic shaped button.

Comfort

With three points for adjustment, the SIDIRex Boots are also incredibly comfortable. The boots use the Tecno-3 Push rotor innovative closure system and 3 push button rotors: a shin tensioner, a mid tensioner, and an instep tensioner. The steel cable adjustable closures allow for a high level of fitment since each part of the boot can be tightened to the right level of closing pressure. Loosening the boots is also easy, since it only requires lifting the rotor on the symmetrical closures.

For improved ventilation, the boots are lined with air jersey and cambrelle for its moisture wicking and anti-odor properties. The single ankle support brace is equipped and fitted with air vents which can be operated by an aerodynamic button for air flow. However, if more airflow is still required, then the boots also come in a perforated version as the SIDI Rex Air.

Lastly, the boots come with a removable arch support pad and the boot is equipped with elastic panels for improved comfort.
